You Are Your Greatest Battle

Rumor has it that women are amazingly strong. Do we always have to be strong? When looking at alternative ways to be, it seems like strong is the only choice. But I wonder about that. Eventually we realize that strong in conscious awareness seems a lot more natural than the ‘act on the world’ kind of strong that we’ve engaged in for most of our lives.
Don’t get me wrong… I still feel like acting on the world because the toxic density of this final stage of collapse is threatening to take down so many along with our beautiful mother earth. But I’m thinking there may be something greater that I can offer: perhaps the sure knowledge that in the end, hope for the future is you.
You are your greatest battle, you are your greatest work, you are your greatest satisfaction, and your energy and consciousness are the hope.
So I’ve been looking through the antonyms to strong. Most of them were pejorative, but I did find two that I could get with: unfixed and yielding.
I was speaking with a wise young woman last night, and we did skirt many subjects, but the thoughts that remain with me today are her offerings on ‘potentialities’. Consciously aware elders do see potentialities… we can’t help but do so, as time in and observation have taught much about the surprising ways in which the waters flow when one energy rises and another diminishes.
Can we agree that nothing is fixed, and that our consciousness and the cultivation of our energy can increase the number of potential experiences available as we escape a dense state and move to another with a wider view? Remember, we are hope for the future, and what can we offer if our viewpoint is obtained by us peering out from a ‘collapsed in’ state of fear, or guilt, or anger, or despair.
I’m in the grandmother realm now. So, as a grandmother, I don’t have to always be strong in the battle with life’s circumstances. I can be unfixed: grandmother’s concern is for the spiritual direction of the tribe, which is unfixed. Spiritual direction forms and re-forms as each individual reaches toward their greatest potential.
There are lots of grandmothers within the renewal energy, and I hear ‘unfixed’ in the voice of many of these wise women.
Wisdom says… don’t try to control the direction to suit your ego’s opinion, but look at the potentialities and encourage the expansion of the heart/mind no matter who the person is. Adding to that: when we say ’don’t try to control’ it doesn’t mean we should fail to offer help or good advice when needed. Help is not control… it is brotherhood and sisterhood.
The other chosen antonym for strong is yielding. That is the feminine principle in martial arts, and it’s actually considered a superior strategy. It’s like… giving way to a force in order to redirect that force. Yielding is not a position of weakness… it is still a position of strength if it’s a choice that you make.
So, in my decision to not always have to be strong, I can yield to the force and redirect the force to serve potentialities… going for that greatest potential of the spirit I Am, born into the body that is me, for now.
It’s all up to me, it’s all up to you, whether in our personal evolution, or in the system that we’re somewhat stuck in… one foot in the system and one in the renewal. No one can take away the manifestations of imbalance that we must evolve through in our lives, just as no one can remove the manifestations of the imbalance of collectives, or group souls, within the human population.
But… we can keep our ego’s opinions unfixed and our energy yielding. Hope for the future is in us, as individuals: dedicated to reaching our greatest potential.
