2019 in the Beginning of the End of Echo Chambers

Waking Times
Welcome to 2019, where humans are deeply divided into their own echo chambers.
Unfortunately there’s little cross-pollination between these gardens of belief. Those with similar philosophies, solutions or even existential conclusions will likely play with each other, but in the most part it has resulted with:
“I have the answer and I look down on and laugh at anyone who doesn’t have it”.
A lot of this was birthed out of the widespread distrust for the official narratives, so whilst we were looking for an alternative space sometimes we have stuck our flag in the ground instead of continuing the search for greater truth pastures.
And that’s okay, it’s just where we are on the timeline, however hopefully we can continue to move in a direction where we eventually understand this en masse and therefore see the power of unity, regardless of our disagreements.
Simply put, the more of us who truly embrace the mystery, the sooner we’ll cooperate for the benefit of all of us.
I’ve been careful to not get restricted by echo chambers, however as a result my views are not popular. That’s because I refuse to blindly pick sides or pretend I know the truth when I know I don’t. I will always be straightforward about instances where certain groups come to strict conclusions, when those conclusions are laced with assumptions, romanticism and outright deception.
Therefore, I’ve continuously called out the mainstream, new age, old age and conspiracy cultures regarding their delusions. No it’s not popular, but it’s authentic. Now of course I don’t have all the answers, not by any stretch of the imagination, but when I see bullshit, I call bullshit.
It’s easy when I call out my own delusions first and foremost, so it’s simply an extension of that process.
A recent focus for me is the unrealistic romanticism that is rife among the so-called awakening community. Whilst holding space for what is possible is essential to the great work, so is actually taking the first steps towards it.
Yet I see few realistic plans for moving in the right direction. The groups who want some sort of revolution of the social system apparently haven’t got the memo that there is ZERO chance their idealistic fantasies are going to manifest in the short-term future.
Therefore, they need to come up with a better short-term plan.
We need to fully grasp the fork in the road that is in front of us. And both individually and collectively, we need to choose the right path.
Currently we are heading towards greater centralisation and authoritarianism on both national and international scales, and there is almost zero realistic response to it. There are some groups who want to ‘go local’, and so far they’re the ones closest to being over the target.
This approach needs to be adopted by all of those who want deep change to our system. Simply put, we need to do the opposite of centralisation by localising community banks, business, food and resources.
It will free us, educate us, empower us and safeguard us against financial crashes and environmental shocks. And it will also reverse power distribution so that it is more in the hands of individuals and our communities, not corporate monopolies and federal governments.
To do this, we need to use the system where we can, as well as build outside of it too. It’s called taking a multi-layered approach to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the strategy.
So that’s where we are at. If there is any one concept we could all unite on, it’s putting the power in the hands of the people by going local.
Once more of us embrace this strategy, it will be the beginning of the end to the reign of the echo chambers. Put simply, all this infighting, unrealistic thinking, poor focus and severe lack of cooperation could be relieved very quickly by making localisation, decentralisation and of course freedom at the core of our discourse on how to move forward from where we are, right here, right now.
The following short video is a snapshot of how we need to move forward to create a better future for ourselves and our children, which is after all what we all want.
