I Tried CBD Oil for 30 Days: This is What Happened

I’m Kelly, a 29-year-old Holistic Health Coach from Northern California. As a busy professional in the health field, I’ve been interested in trying cannabidiol (CBD) due to the attention it’s been getting lately. I’ve heard that it is great for stress relief, muscle aches and pains, as well as deeper sleep. For me, if there’s a natural substance that can keep my body and mind performing optimally, that’s affordable and easy to travel with, I’m all for it.
So, I decided to give CBD a try. I went online and did a bit research and bought a bottle. The bottle I bought lasted for about 40 servings. What you’re about to read next is a personal account of my experience over the 30 days.
Day 1: Today, I woke up and did yoga, gratitude meditation, and took my normal supplements. I also started with my first dose of CBD (7.5mg). I went along with my day as normal. I didn’t notice any negative or positive effects. If I may add, I was wary of the flavor, at first. I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted a refreshing mint flavor and not a nasty bitter plant taste like I’ve read about in many product reviews.
Days 2-4: I didn’t notice any big differences. I continued my days as normal.
Day 5: I started my day as usual, and incorporated the dose of CBD. Today, my neck and shoulders were a little sore from working on my laptop yesterday. So, I decided to take another dose of CBD. After reading for a half hour, I actually noticed the tension in my neck had loosened up some. Following my afternoon workout, the neck and shoulder pain was gone.
Days 6-10: Since the increased dose the day before seemed to really help with the computer strain, I did a double dose today (15mg). I spend a lot of time on my computer working with clients so neck pain and stiffness is common. I didn’t seem to feel the aches and pains of the computer strain as much as normal. I still got a little sore, but it was able to be worked out much easier than before I took the CBD tincture.
Day 14: Today is my second week of taking CBD daily. The past few days, I’ve actually been taking my dose of CBD during the afternoon when my neck begins to feel sore. Since then, I’ve started taking a dose of CBD “as needed.” It seems to work really well that way, so I think I’ll continue.
Day 21: So far I’ve really been enjoying my experience taking CBD. This past week I had a stressful few days from my laptop getting damaged and a few personal matters. I found that taking an extra dose of CBD helped me stay calm and collected through it all. Although I don’t consider myself an anxious person, I do experience bouts of anxiety during highly stressful times. I could feel that the CBD was working its magic within 15 minutes of taking it and was a great complement to my deep breathing practices. It’s about 8pm right now and I am going to see if helps me get better sleep. Goodnight!
Day 22: Last night, I was listening to a podcast after taking a dose of CBD, and I don’t remember falling asleep. Today, I felt great. The moment my alarm went off, I was awake and alert. I slept really well, and don’t remember waking up to turn over (which I usually do at least twice a night). I can tell that the CBD really impacted how deep I was able to sleep, which I am such a big fan of! I even finished work a little bit earlier today – I felt more focused and didn’t get distracted as much.
Day 26: I am still feeling really good. I have been taking two doses of CBD regularly, now. Once around midday and once before I go to sleep. My sleep and wake schedule seem to have improved, my aches and pains have decreased, and I feel more alert and focused.
Day 28: Today I realized I forgot to take my dose of CBD. I still feel good, though; and actually I woke up at 6:29am without my alarm – my alarm goes off at 6:30am. What’s gotten into me?
Day 30: Today will be my last day taking CBD… I ran out. I’m definitely going to get some more, because it’s been a great addition to my arsenal of wellness tools.
Takeaway
After taking CBD for 30 days, I can say that I really enjoyed it. Overall, I felt more rested when I woke up and during the day I was more confident because I felt like someone had my back in stressful situations.
Conclusion
After doing the research to choose a brand, I noticed it’s really important to find a brand that offers two things. First, look for “3rd Party Certification,” which means that an independent laboratory has verified the product. Secondly, “Full Spectrum CBD” seems to be the best type of CBD that you’d want to get. Before going into this 30-day test of taking CBD, I was really skeptical. Now, I can actually say I’m a true believer in the power of cannabinoids. I’ll be telling all of my friends to try CBD for themselves.
There are tons of different CBD brands to choose from. I don’t really think it matters which one you pick. As long as the product meets the two standards I mentioned above, you should be good to go. If you’re interested in the brand I used for my 30 days, it was from http://nuvelio.com/. If you decide to also give CBD a go, let me know in the comments below how you felt after you’ve tried it! I’d also be interested to hear about any hesitations you have about trying CBD. Good luck and Namaste!
