The Secret of the Walking 82-ton Statues of Easter Island
Documentary Film – One of the greatest mysteries of the world are the statutes of Easter Island. According to island lore, the statues, called Moai, had simply walked into place. Archaeologists continue to ponder how people who had no metal tools could carve such enthusing figures, and how could prehistoric farmers, who didn’t have the wheel, move these enormous statues, which are up to 30 feet tall and weigh close to 82 tons.
