90 Year Old Man Arrested for Feeding the Homeless
Video – A new city ordinance in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which places outrageous restrictions on where and in what manner you can feed the homeless in public, is another example of modern politics constructed to deter our evolution and gain control over societal traditions and basic human interactions. These types of laws have nothing to do with liberty but create an increased dependence on the system that complicates life.
Non-conformity and non-compliance are moral obligations in this situation, as so believes these men: Rev. Mark Sims, Rev. Dwayne Black, and 90-year old Arnold Abbott, who received citations and were arrested for feeding the homeless in Ft. Lauderdale’s Stranahan Park. Now the men face jail time and a $500 fine for breaking the new law.
“One of police officers came over and said ‘Drop that plate right now,’ as if I was carrying a weapon,” states Mr Abbott.
Since when is sharing food with another human being a criminal act?
